Shimizu S-Pulse 3-2 Kawasaki Frontale
The atmosphere in the stadium showed how important this match was. It stopped S-PULSE from making the same mistake three times in a row. Supporters, players and staff knew it wouldn't be allowed to lose anymore.
In spite of their motivation, they conceded a goal too easily with a counter-attack, which is Frontale's basic attacking style. The begging of their attack was a corner kick of S-PULSE. Frontale defender nodded the all away, and Ganaha took it and dribbled up front. It didn't take more than 10 seconds to carry the ball from the face of Frotale goal to S-PULSE’s. Eventually, Junino scored his first in last four matches.
But, had learned from the last two matches, they were not shaken and equalized 6 minutes later.
Marquinhos got a free kick at the point from 25 meter away. Sato rolled the ball right while Hyodo were complaining about the Frontale's wall. It distracted Frontale. At the moment, Marquinhos blazed an out-swinging shot, which flew into the back of the net.
S-PULSE is apt to allow an opponent to send crosses so easily. It led to fall behind again. Augst has no trouble sending over a pin-point cross to Ganaha, who netted, because Ichikawa failed to steal the ball. They didn't fold but Frontale dominated the game for a while after that.
Manager Kenta Hasegawa changed the course by replacing Yamanishi and Sato with Sawanobori and Kitajima. In the 83rd minute, Sawanobori sent Sugiyama through with a fine pass. Sugiyama got the ball past a defender with a skillful nutmeg, and coolly stroked into the left hand of the goal. Afterwards, Takagi met Hyodo's cross with his header and the ball bobbled into the net.
S-PULSE put an end to being winless at last. But there are many things to overcome. They shouldn't be elated by the victory so long, because they are still relegation-haunted.
